My mom used to make tahiri with left over salan and add potatoes in it. Here’s little different recipe of TAHIRI , this time making Chutney Tahiri. Serve with my Onion 🧅 & Mango 🥭 Raita.

Ingredients and spices that need to be Get to make Hari Chutney Tahiri:

  1. Ingredients for Chutney
  2. 1 bunch Fresh coriander
  3. 1 cup mint leaves
  4. 2 big green chilli
  5. 3-4 garlic cloves
  6. 1 inch ginger piece
  7. 1/2 cup fresh coconut
  8. Ingredients for Yogurt Masala
  9. 1 cup yogurt
  10. 1 tbsp biryani masala
  11. 1 tsp garam masala
  12. 1 tsp zeera
  13. Other ingredients for Tahiri
  14. 1 & 1/2 cup Basmati Rice
  15. 2 tbsp khalis ghee
  16. 1 tbsp chicken powder
  17. 1 tbsp salt
  18. 2 bay leaf
  19. 1/2 tsp zeera
  20. 1 black cardamom
  21. 2 green cardamom
  22. 1 cinnamon stick
  23. 1 badyan flower
  24. 4 cloves (laung)

Instructions to make to make Hari Chutney Tahiri

  1. Make Chutney with all above ingredients by adding little water to get smooth chutney.
    Keep aside.
    Salt will add in rice.
  2. Take khalis ghee in a pot.
    Add bay leaves Zeera Cloves Black cardamom Green cardamom Cinnamon Badyan flower aur Sauté to get good aroma.
  3. Add prepared green chutney & cook on low flame. Don’t burn the chutney. Cook till it gets little thick.
  4. MOST IMPORTANT STEP
    Now add yogurt with masala mix and cook 2-3 minutes till oil gets separated. It gives creamy taste to tahiri.
  5. Be careful while adding yogurt in chutney. Flame must be low.
  6. Soak rice for at least 2 hours. In 1&1/2 cup rice we will add double water means 3 cups of water.
  7. Add water in chutney & yogurt mixture and let it boil. Now add rice. Add salt & chicken powder.
    Add 1 tbsp of vinegar so rice won’t stick together. Cook till little water remains in rice, than cover the lid & give Dum for 10 minutes on high flame & 10 minutes on low flame.
  8. Garnish with blanched Almonds Or Kaju / Cashews. Decorate with boiled slices of eggs.
    Sprinkle fresh chopped coriander.
  9. Serve with Onion 🧅 & mango 🥭 raita.
  10. Enjoy yummlicious TAHIRI 🤗
