Humble indian curd rice is one of my favourite dish, everyone is aware of health benefits of curd rice I believe,I have followed Nikita Choithani recipe with little changes its yum
Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Curd Rice:
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups curds
- as per taste salt
- 2 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp black gram
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 2 tbsp grated carrot
- 1/4 cup thick milk
Steps to make to make Curd Rice
- Firstly cook the rice little more softer than usual, you can also use left over rice for this, now beat the curd to smooth consistency,add curd, milk, salt, grated carrot to the rice and mix well, adjust curds according to your taste
- For tempering/tadka, heat up two tsp of oil in a sauce pan, add mustard seeds, when it starts to splutter add black gram, chopped green chillies, and curry leaves saute for two minutes
- Add little tempering/tadka to the curd mixed rice bowl mix well and transfer that to serving bowl/plate, garnish with left over tadka and few carrot flowers,green chillies,and few rose petals or you can garnish according to your taste and serve with pickle... 😋
